The Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia holds its first Toddler Tuesday on from 10 to 11 a.m. Toddler Tuesday is a new addition to the museum’s family programs and is free but requires reservations, as space is limited.
The 40-minute program is designed for families with children aged 18 months to three years. Parents will be able to enjoy time with their children without having to worry about the constraints of bringing their younger family members to public spaces. The event is designed for a smaller and more intimate experience in the galleries to help introduce young ones to the museum and works of art. The program focuses on color as a theme and consists of storytelling followed by a tour tailored to a younger audience and a hands-on activity.
Callan Steinman, the museum’s associate curator of education, said, “We are hoping to make it a regular program. We wanted a light and fun tour that is a special time for the little ones.”
