WINDER-BARROW 72, DACULA 35: At Winder, the Bulldoggs- ranked No. 3 in Class 6A – won their third consecutive game and improved to 2-1 in Region 8-6A with a lopsided victory over Dacula.
Eight different players scored for Winder-Barrow, led by Olivia Nelson-Ododa, who scored 21 points to go with seven rebounds and three blocks. Jakayla Sullivan added a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds and Latrice Perkins and Chellia Watson contributed 11 points apiece.
The Bulldoggs (10-3) will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Gainesville.
MADISON COUNTY 68, STEPHENS COUNTY 40: At Danielsville, the Red Raiders – ranked No. 7 in Class 4A – won their third consecutive game and remained undefeated in Region 8-4A.
Jordan Bailey led Madison County with 25 points, followed by Kayla McPherson (19 points) and ADryana Maxwell (10 points).
The Red Raiders (11-5, 3-0) will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Oconee County.
CEDAR SHOALS 42, LOGANVILLE 37: At Cedar Shoals, the Jaguars improved to 11-5 overall and 4-1 in Region 8-5A with a home victory over the Red Devils.
Laurie Thomas scored 13 points to lead Cedar Shoals. Jeanetta Elder added 10 points and Genesis Crawley and Autumn Jones scored seven points each.
The Jaguars will host Buford – ranked No. 3 in Class 6A – at 7 p.m. Friday.
PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN 52, PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN 35: At Lilburn, the Wolverines – ranked No. 7 in Class A Private – got their four-game road gauntlet off to a good start with a decisive Region 8-A victory at Providence Christian.
Prince Avenue Christian – which won its 12th consecutive game – was led by Ansley Hall (16 points), Caroline Hill (nine points), Janie Henderson (eight points), Millican Jarrett (seven points), Madison Britt (seven points) and Ivey Meeks (five points).
The Wolverines (13-1, 5-0) were set to play at Athens Academy on Wednesday and will play at 7 p.m. Saturday at Hebron Christian.
JEFFERSON 47, OCONEE COUNTY 26: At Jefferson, the Dragons – ranked No. 10 in Class 4A – got 17 points from Livi Blackstock and won their third consecutive Region 8-4A game.
The Dragons (13-4, 3-1) will host St. Pius X at 7 p.m. Friday. The Warriors (8-9, 0-4) will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Madison County.
ST. PIUS X 43, NORTH OCONEE 42: At Atlanta, the Titans fell in a close Region 8-4A game against the Golden Lions and are now 6-11 overall and 1-3 in league play.
Aubrey Monroe led North Oconee with 16 points.
The Titans (6-10, 1-2) play at 7 p.m. Friday at Stephens County.
GEORGE WALTON 38, ATHENS CHRISTIAN 18: At Monroe, the Eagles fell to 2-12 overall and 1-3 in Region 8-A with a league loss to the Bulldogs.
Athens Christian will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Athens Academy, ranked No. 10 in Class A Private.
MORGAN COUNTY 74, EAST JACKSON 32: At Madison, the Eagles dropped their fourth game in a row and are still looking for their first victory in Region 8-3A.
Annice Pittman led East Jackson with seven points.
The Eagles (8-8, 0-3) will host Jackson County at 7 p.m. Friday.
HART COUNTY 66, JACKSON COUNTY 43: At Jefferson, the Panthers lost for the fourth time in their last five games, falling in Region 8-3A to the Bulldogs, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A.
Carlie Anderson led Jackson County with 16 points.
The Panthers (5-9, 0-2) will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Jackson County.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 57, COMMERCE 42: At Commerce, the Tigers lost for the fifth time in their last six games, falling in Region 8-A to Lakeview Academy.
Bryanna Sanders led Commerce with 14 points.
The Tigers (6-10, 2-3) will host Tallulah Falls at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
HABERSHAM CENTRAL 38, APALACHEE 26: At Mt. Airy, the Wildcats dropped their third game in a row in a Region 8-6A loss to the Raiders.
Nakia Hooks led Apalachee with 14 points and Anna Dominquez and Briana Bryson scored four points each.
The Wildcats (6-11, 0-4) will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Lanier.
PUTNAM COUNTY 60, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 14: At Eatonton, the winless Patriots had little luck against Putnam County, ranked No. 3 in Class 2A.
Oglethorpe County (0-12, 0-2 in Region 8-2A) will host Elbert County at 7 p.m. Friday.
JEFFERSON 66, OCONEE COUNTY 47: At Jefferson, the Dragons won for the ninth time in their last 10 games, claimed their fourth consecutive victory and snapped the Warriors’ 11-game winning streak.
Jasper Gibson led Jefferson with a game-high 25 points and Jacob Radaker added 13 points.
Rahul Das led Oconee County with 11 points.
The Dragons (11-6, 3-0 in Region 8-4A) will host St. Pius X – ranked No. 2 in Class 4A – at 8:30 p.m. Friday. The Warriors (13-4, 2-2) will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Madison County.
PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN 69, GEORGE WALTON 34: At Monroe, the Wolverines won for the third time in their last four games and improved to 4-1 in Region 8-A.
Dalton Meeler led Prince Avenue Christian with 15 points and Will Todd chipped in 14 points.
The Wolverines (8-6) were set to play Wednesday at Athens Academy and will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Hebron Christian.
CEDAR SHOALS 65, LOGANVILLE 46: At Cedar Shoals, Quincy Canty recorded a double-double as the Jaguars won for the third time in their last three games and improved to 4-1 in Region 8-5A.
Canty led Cedar Shoals with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Keivaziay Ball added 13 points and six assists.
The Jaguars (6-10) will host Buford – ranked No. 1 in Class 5A – at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
APALACHEE 62, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 60: At Mt. Airy, Brandon Bannis hit a 3-pointer to put the Wildcats up 60-58 and then hit two free throws with less than a second left on the clock to make the difference as Apalachee evened its overall record to 8-8 and won its first Region 8-6A game of the season.
Derek Miller led the way with a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds (to go with seven blocks and six steals). Jamonte Wallace contributed 17 points, six rebounds and three assists, Deron Collier had 14 points and four steals and Bannis finished with seven points and three assists.
The Wildcats will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Lanier, ranked No. 10 in Class 6A.
GEORGE WALTON 70, ATHENS CHRISTIAN 47: At Monroe, the Eagles had two players score in double figures but fell in Region 8-A to George Walton.
Kohl Phillips led Athens Christian with 16 points and Jarrett Boyd added 10 points.
The Eagles (3-10, 1-4) will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Athens Academy.
DACULA 79, WINDER-BARROW 56: At Winder, the Bulldoggs fell to 5-11 overall and 1-2 in Region 8-6A with a league loss to Dacula, ranked No. 8 in Class 6A.
Lamonta Mack led Winder-Barrow with 18 points and eight rebounds. John Niezeyimana added 14 points and Tyree Perkins contributed 10 points.
The Bulldoggs will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Gainesville, ranked No. 2 in Class 6A.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 66, COMMERCE 32: At Commerce, the Tigers fell to 2-12 overall and 0-5 in Region 8-A with a league loss to Lakeview Academy, ranked No. 9 in Class A Private.
Creed Dorsey and Jalen Dorsey led Commerce with eight points each.
The Tigers will host Tallulah Falls at 8 p.m. Friday.
STEPHENS COUNTY 68, MADISON COUNTY 54: At Danielsville, the Red Raiders fell to 6-10 overall and 0-3 in Region 8-4A with a league loss to the Indians.
Tay Cooper led Madison County with 15 points, followed by Jackson Bailey (11 points) and Dylan Carey (eight points).
The Red Raiders will host Oconee County at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
PUTNAM COUNTY 53, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 48: At Eatonton, the Patriots got 19 points from Isaac Hulin but it wasn’t enough as Putnam County took the Region 8-2A victory.
Zian Faust added eight points for Oglethorpe County.
The Patriots (3-11, 1-2) will host Elbert County – ranked No. 6 in Class 2A – at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
ST. PIUS X 78, NORTH OCONEE 31: At Atlanta, the Titans were no match for the Golden Lions, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A.
Jalen Behr led the Titans with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
North Oconee (1-15, 0-3) will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Stephens County.
MORGAN COUNTY 68, EAST JACKSON 47: At Madison, the Eagles fell to 11-7 overall and 1-2 in Region 8-3A with a league loss to Morgan County, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A.
