A comment made about Georgia by Auburn coach Gus Malzahn after an on-field interview didn’t faze Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart.

After an interview with CBS’ Sports sideline reporter Allie LaForce following the Tigers’ 40-17 rout of Georgia, Malzahn said as he walked away: “We whipped the dog crap out of them, didn’t we?”

Smart was asked for his reaction to the comment, captured on video by Auburn reporter Lauren Shute of SEC County, and if it’s something he would remember.

“I’ll be honest with you, I think when you perform the way they did on the field, you earn the right to say really whatever you want,” Smart said. “I don’t get into what Gus says and he probably doesn’t get into what I say.”

Auburn’s 23-point margin of victory tied for fourth largest in series history.
