Kirby Smart got good news on Sunday in the form of a commitment from one of the top overall players in the class of 2019 — Walton WR Dominick Blaylock.
Blaylock is considered the No. 38 overall prospect in the country and the No. 4 overall receiver. His commitment gives the Bulldogs two of the top four receivers in next year’s class.
Five-star Cedar Grove WR Jadon Haselwood, the No. 13 overall prospect, has been committed to the Bulldogs since March.
Blaylock is UGA’s third commitment for the 2019 class who is considered a Top 50 player (Haselwood and No. 1 overall prospect Nolan Smith). The Bulldogs now have six players committed to the 2019 UGA class.
“He’s an athlete who can do a lot with the ball,” reads a Scout recruiting report on the 4-star prospect. “He could project as a defensive back, but he looks natural at wide receiver. Blaylock can make the difficult catches look easy. He has good length and a nice burst up the field. He has elite upside.”
Blaylock picked the Bulldogs over offers from Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and others.
