Ciné is celebrating 10 years with a Birthday Bash on Thursday. The downtown theater will have live jazz music with snacks from The National and Trader Joe’s. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and later, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a screening of “Amelie.” Before and after the movie the Holy Crepe food truck will serve the French dish outside Ciné. “Classic City Cooking” demo

Athens Farmers Market at Bishop Park

The author of “Classic City Cooking,” Juanina Kocher, and Chef Peter Dale, owner of several Athens restaurants, will host a demo at the Athens Farmers Market on Saturday. Kocher recently published the cookbook that gives a taste of Athens with recipes from 14 local restaurants. It also includes input from Athens celebrities. Creature Comforts is celebrating its third anniversary this weekend. Special tours on Saturday and Sunday will include many different brews Creature Comforts is known for. There’s no guarantee supplies will last through the weekend. Some of the brews available will be See the Stars, The Curious No. 7, Existence, Cosmik Debris and more. To get tour vouchers, pre-sales are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and cost $40 in advance and $30 later. The brewery will be open 1-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Indie South Fair Springtacular

The Indie South Fair Springtacular will pop up on Chase Street this weekend. More than 75 vendors will be at the artists fair selling their wares. The Springtacular will be open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and noon-5 p.m. on Sunday. There will be art, clothing, jewelry and woodwork among other things for sale at the fair.
