GIRLS GOLF | North Oconee comes in second

At the third annual Lady Titan Invitational at Lane Creek, North Oconee shot a team total of 271 to finish second in the 11-team event.

 

Blessed Trinity finished first with a 258, followed by North Oconee, Oconee County (283), Madison County (304), Habersham Central (309), Stephens County (318), Athens Academy (321), St. Pius X (329), Morgan County (332), Jefferson (337) and Banks County (375).

The Titans were led by Elena Denny, who shot an 81, good enough for second place. Emma Meadows shot an 84 and finished third, Mady Wiley shot an 85 for fourth place, and Oconee County’s Bess Linder and North Oconee’s Abigail Hill tied for sixth place with a 92.

Sydney Spencer added a 106 for North Oconee. Besides Wiley and Linder, Oconee County’s Elli Scarborough shot a 106 and Sara English shot a 135.

Madison County’s Gracie Hallenback shot a 94, followed by Savannah Bird (98), Sarah Kate Thomas (112) and Haley Larkin (118). Athens Academy’s Wynn Ivy shot a 102, Cardy Pennington had a 109 and Grace Kermer carded a 110.

Taylor Sorrow led Jefferson with a 111. Laura Leigh Freeman shot a 118, and Michal Moore and Mikayla Simonton both shot a 113.
