The Broad River Watershed Association will hold its annual meeting on Aug. 12 at Camp Kiwanis on Old Wildcat Bridge Road in Madison County.
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast followed by a business meeting at 10 and a program at 11 a.m. by Buzz Williams of the Chattooga Conservancy headquartered in Clayton. The meeting is open to the public.
Williams, who served 18 years as director of the conservancy, will speak on protecting water from imminent threats.
The Broad River association is a nonprofit land trust created to preserve the Broad River as a free flowing system. The river is the largest stretch of free-flowing river remaining in north Georgia.
