UGA students to stage benefit concert tonight

University of Georgia students in Terry College’s Music Business Program tonight will conduct a benefit concert for Nuçi’s Space.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with comedian Maddie Berger on the mic at 7:45 p.m. Live music will begin at 8 p.m.

The lineup includes numerous talented Athens artists: Until Three, Blue Bodies, Xanny P and KasOnTheMic.

Tickets are $5 at the door. Nedza’s Waffles will be serving their “amazing and interesting” waffles, and wristbands will be available to ages 21 and over attendees for beverages at the bar.

Nuçi’s Space has served the Athens community for more than 17 years as a music and mental health resource center. It was created in memory of UGA student and talented musician Nuçi Phillips, who in 1996 took his own life after a long battle with depression.

Every year, UGA Music Business students are divided into teams to put on a benefit concert at Nuçi’s Space as part of their coursework. This is the last concert of the semester.
