Winder police arrested four suspects who broke into Mike’s Gun Room in Winder, but the burglars fled before they were able to steal any guns, authorities said Friday.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at 3:30 a.m. Friday and upon their arrival they found damage to a wall, according to Detective Gregg Teatino.
Police were able to identify the suspects through the investigation and within an hour had located two of them, police said.
Two were juveniles while the others were identified as Corey Quienta Henry, 17, and Tavezz Lafara Wayna Thurmond, 21, both of Winder.
All suspects were charged with burglary, theft, damage to property and possession of tools for a crime. Thurmond and Henry are also charged with contributing the the delinquency of a minor.
Police were assisted by Auburn police and deputies with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.
