Athens lawyer appointed to Judicial Qualifications Commission

The State Bar of Georgia congratulated Edward D. “Ed” Tolley of Cook &Tolley LLP in Athens on his recent re-appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission.

The JQC investigates complaints of judicial misconduct on a statewide basis.

He has recently served as chairman of the commission and is also vice chairman of the Georgia Public Defenders Council.

He is a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, a life fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Tolley’s acceptance of this re-appointment is evidence of his continued dedication to serving the public and justice system.
