The arrest of a Hoschton man early this week led to the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine and other drugs, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop July 3 and arrested Douglas William Jarrett, 40, along with a passenger, Jorge Enrique Padilla, 30, of Flowery Branch.
Jackson County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Steve Smith said drugs were found in the car and when officers served a search warrant on Jarrett’s home they seized more drugs.
Jarrett was charged with possession of heroin and meth with intent to distribute, possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute and possession of a muscle relaxer called carisoprodol.
Padilla was charged with possession of heroin.
