Annual Fur Ball event in Jackson County planned for April

Fur Ball time in Jackson County.

The Humane Society of Jackson County will hold its seventh annual Fur Ball fundraising event at 6 p.m. April 8 at the Braselton-Stover Event Center in Braselton.

The theme for this year’s ball is CleoCATra, who is accompanied by Bark Anthony. Guests are encouraged to dress in Egyptian-themed costumes or cocktail attire. The buffet dinner is catered by California Dreaming and music is provided by The Way Back Band.

The ball includes dancing, silent auctions, games, and raffles. Tickets are $60 each.

“Fur Ball has become an annual tradition that our community looks forward to, since we incorporate fun themes and there is lots of interaction between guests and the entertainers. It’s always a good time and, of course, the animals are very appreciative,” said Jessica Beck, who chairs the event with Laura Colllier.

The fundraiser helps fund the society’s major programs including pet food, spay and neutering assistance and rescuing homeless animals. To purchase tickets, please go to or send an email to
