A Nicholson man and Athens woman face burglary charges after they were arrested when deputies responded to a call about strangers at a vacant house, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerry Alex Keith, 38, and Autumn Harris, 26, were also found in possession of drugs following their arrests on March 10, Sheriff Janis Mangum said.
Among the pills seized were oxycodone and hydrocodone, according to reports.
Keith violently resisted arrest by the deputies and had to be forced to the ground, Mangum said.
Besides burglary, the pair also are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs. Keith is additionally charged with damage to government property and felony obstruction.
Harris remained in jail Thursday with bond set at $26,000. Keith was released from jail Wednesday on a $41,000 bond.
