In his lifetime, Tupac Shakur released four albums. Since his murder in 1996, twenty more have come out. Add to that fourteen documentaries and six dramatic portrayals in various films, and it’s easy to see why some people believe he’s still alive. Though his career as a recording artist and film actor was tragically brief, Shakur has managed to accomplish more in the aftermath of his death at age 25 than many of his generation that remain with us. And while his legacy is worth continued celebration and his memory should always be honored, allowing the man to rest isn’t something the entertainment industry seems willing to do just yet.
