Quarterback Jacob Eason might make the trip to Notre Dame, but has already been ruled out (and is considered out indefinitely) after spraining his left knee in the first quarter against Appalachian State. Cornerback Malkom Parrish, who has an injured foot, is not expected to play . Cornerback Aaron Davis left the App State game with an injured hamstring, but was practicing early this week. Georgia did not release an updated depth chart, though it did provide the Week 1 depth chart for Georgia and Notre Dame. The depth chart, which can be found on page E6, has been updated to reflect developments throughout the last week of practice. This is the first regular-season meeting between the SEC and Notre Dame since 2005, when Notre Dame defeated Tennessee 41-21. In the postseason, Notre Dame last defeated an SEC team in 2014 when the Irish topped LSU in the 2014 Music City Bowl. Notre Dame will take on SEC teams consistently within the next decade, with a return trip to Athens scheduled for 2019. The Irish will play Arkansas in 2020 and 2025 and Texas A&M in 2024 and 2025. There will be true football weather in South Bend today. Temperatures are expected to reach the 70s, with lows in the low 40s. It will be mostly sunny. Bulldog fans had the chance for a pretty stellar sports weekend, with Georgia ties at MLB and NFL games in addition to the game today. Vince Dooley threw out the first pitch at the Cubs game in Chicago Friday. The Falcons open the NFL season at Chicago Sunday at 1 p.m.Full Story
