On January 14, 1967, Carmen Vega-Rivera and Dr. Carl F. Jordan were married in the Cathedral of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
During the Spring of 2017, they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, along with their children, Anabel Foucart and Christopher Jordan, and their grandchildren, Sybille Foucart and Sage Jordan.
Dr. Jordan’s career took them from San Juan to Argonne, Illinois, to Caracas, Venezuela, and finally to Athens, Georgia, where he was a research scientist at the Odum School of Ecology until his retirement as Professor Emeritus in 2010.
Carmen has been a teacher of English as a Second Language at Clarke County schools, and of Spanish at North Georgia University.
They have shared memories of visits to their students in Asia, South America, and Europe.
