Edward and Frances Albert, of Athens, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Jacqueline Albert, to Kyle Joseph Jenkins, son of Deborah and the late Jack Jenkins, of Circleville, Ohio.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mattie Lou and the late John Brown, of Cochran, and the late James and Ida Albert, of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Courtney is a graduate of Clarke Central High School and received both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and her Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Georgia. She is employed as the Director of Innovation & Marketing at The Parker Avery Group, in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Carolyn and the late Robert Young, of Circleville, Ohio, and the late Joe and Ella Mae Jenkins, of Tarlton, Ohio. Kyle received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, and his Master of Music and Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona. He is employed as a Music Theory instructor at the Georgia State University School of Music, in Atlanta.
The couple became engaged on November 26, 2016. Their wedding will be held on Sapelo Island, Ga., on June 17, 2017.
