Athens-Clarke County police arrested a 29-year-old man early Monday after he allegedly threatened to kill his child’s mother and shoot everyone in her Athens home, Athens-Clarke County police said.
An argument began after the man showed up at the woman’s home and asked if he could spend the night because he had nowhere else to go, according to police. He reportedly began yelling at the woman and made the threats during that verbal altercation, police said.
The suspect had left the home by the time officers arrived, but police said they found him at Pulaski and West Broad streets. Police charged him for making terroristic threats.
